Which stripe sequence looks best?
Even stripes read as classic and calm. Fibonacci stripes (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 rows) look deliberate and modern because the proportions are naturally pleasing. Random stripes suit scrap projects and hide colour-change joins.
Random mode never places the same colour twice in a row, so each change is visible. Change the seed to get a new layout.
How do I use rows per colour to buy yarn?
Divide rows per colour by total rows, then multiply by the total yardage from the yarn yardage calculator. Add 10 % per colour because each colour change uses extra yarn for weaving in.

Use a slip-stitch join and a jogless technique, or work in turned rounds so the seam is less visible.
