One-round crochet heart in a magic ring
This crochet heart is made in a single round: treble and double crochet stitches worked into a magic ring form the two curved lobes, and one treble crochet between chain-1s forms the point. Pulling the ring closed shapes the heart. It takes five minutes and measures about 2 inches across.

Notes before you start
- All stitches are worked into the magic ring, not into each other.
- Pull the ring tight before the final slip stitch so the lobes curve.
Heart
- Make a magic ring.
- Into the ring work: ch 3, 3 tr, 3 dc, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 3 dc, 3 tr, ch 3, sl st in ring. (6 tr and 6 dc forming the lobes, 1 tr forming the point)
- Pull the tail to close the ring tightly. Fasten off.
Finishing
- Weave the tail through the centre dip so it pulls the top of the heart inwards.
- Weave in ends or use them to sew the heart onto a project.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my heart look like a circle?
The ring was not pulled tight enough, or the point stitch was not framed by chain-1s. Close the ring fully before joining.
