Little round amigurumi bunny with long ears

This beginner amigurumi bunny is a small stuffed ball worked in single crochet spirals, with two long flattened ears and a tiny round tail sewn on. It uses about 30 yards of worsted yarn and a 3.5 mm hook, takes around an hour, and finishes 2.5 inches tall without the ears.

Frequently asked questions

Why won't my bunny ears stand up?

Ears flop when worked loosely. Use a smaller hook for the ears, or slide a pipe cleaner inside with the ends folded over (not for young children).

Can I make it without sewing?

The ears and tail need a few stitches. To reduce sewing, work the tail as a French knot of yarn instead.
